Jobs used by the top 10 players! Season 17

Hello all! Season 17 ended on Patch 5.4. Here are the jobs played by the players who made top 10 in each region. I had lots of help on this one to help it get released quickly. Thanks to Jawa-san, Joe G, Medoh and London for helping collecting data and allowing this to be release quickly. You can click there names to check out there twitter!

Tanks

Gunbreaker was the tank that made it top 10 more than the others. Gunbreaker has several tools that makes it an offensive powerhouse for tanks. Bow Shock can apply an AoE Bind which allows you to crowd control chain with your stun. Gunbreaker also gets the ability to buff burst damage by debuffing the target. Paladin was the second most tank played at top 10. Paladins offers less offensively but more defensively with a massive 30% damage mitigation with rampart + intervention.

Healers

White Mage was the most dominant job played for top 10 players. WHM was buffed this season by having 2 tetragrammaton charges and 5% more damage on temperance. WHM also lost some regen potency but gained raw healing numbers in the afflatus healing.

Melee

For the 3rd season in a row Dragoon was the most dominant job played for melee jobs. The same reasons are the same as previous seasons. Frequent burst, survivability with bloodbath, several mobility options and range attacks.

Ranged

Black Mage was the most dominant job this season. BLM has been strong for several patches now and did not receive any changes in the beginning of season 17. The reason it was played alot this job is because more top players are interested in learning and playing how to play the job. BLM has several tool that make it extremely strong. Nightwing AoE sleep can be used offensively to stop enemy healers and tanks. It can be used defensively and shutdown bursts completely. BLM teleport is very strong when the enemy team does not have stun or bind to control your positioning. RDM has a similar ability with displacement, however RDM has to be in melee range for melee combo and BLM does not have to be that close.
